WARRANTY

The Aviator Classic Fan Company will issue a product warranty for the Aviator brand of fans purchased in any country through any authorized Aviator Classic Fans distributor/agent, all authorized distributors/agents will provide one unique “Warranty Card” with every purchase irrespective of the country it is purchased from. But Aviator Classic Fans Co, is not be responsible for purchases made from unauthorized agents and resellers. All Authorized Agents/Distributors will provide a product warranty that carries the agent’s code number and the name of the agent/ distributor will be advertised on the Aviator Classic Fans website for any reference.

To obtain the best performance from a ceiling fan, it is crucial that the correct size of fan is properly installed in the optimum location. We cannot arrange for, or cover the cost of, an in-home visit by service personnel in relation to the airflow or other performance of your product except in cases where, following over the telephone trouble-shooting, the authorized product distributor in the state, province or territory where the product was purchased has determined that such issues may be a direct result of a manufacturing defect (material or workmanship). Ceiling fans that do not perform as expected or desired and which are faulty will be replaced or exchanged under warranty.

INSTALLATION OF THE PRODUCT

All ceiling fans and associated products should be installed only by a licensed / trained electrician with experience in the installation of Architectural Designer AC/DC Fans, if the electrician does not have the required experience in this range of fans DO NOT allow him to install. During Installation electricians who are experiencing problems with installation or who cannot get the product to operate correctly once installed should read the Installation Manual which is online and could be downloaded, they should read  ‘Trouble-Shooting Section’ of the installation guide or contact the authorized product distributor/agent from state, province or territory where the product was purchased.

IMPORTANT

If the electrician/technician has no experience in installing AC/DC Inverter Designer Fans he/she should immediately call the relevant Aviator Showroom from where the fan was purchased and seek technical advice on the installation. If On-Call instructions are not clear, the relevant electrician/technician should call over to the Aviator Showroom and seek on-site installation instructions and guidance from the Aviator Technical Centre.

The Aviator Classic Fans Co. will not be responsible or accountable in the event an untrained/inexperienced electrician/technician tries to install  the Aviator fan and cause damage to the drive motor/ wings/ remote controller/ RF Reader or Wall Controller, the Aviator Company will not be responsible for any damages or defects caused to the Aviator fan and no replacements of the fan or parts will be done free of charge.

The benefits provided to you by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under the law.

WARRANTY PERIOD

The warranty on your Aviator Classic Fans purchased begins from the day of purchase, and not from the day of installation. 

All Aviator Classic Fan Agents/ Distributors will check all parts and components in the presence of the client/s prior to releasing the goods from any showroom, and the client is requested to inspect all parts and components in the presence of the sales staff. As goods once sold and removed from the premises of the showroom, the client cannot make any claims with missing parts and components as it is mandatory that every single fan sold will be double checked in the presence of the client/s and showroom sales personnel. The reason for this procedure is due to the simple fact that most electricians tend to misplace certain parts and then make a claim that there was missing items in the packaging of the fan purchased, in order to overcome this issue it has been made mandatory that every fan is thoroughly inspected prior to removal from the showroom premises. Once the fan has been checked and removed from the premises of the showroom, thereafter the company will not be responsible nor accept any complaints with regards to missing parts and components.

CEILING FANS MOTOR WARRANTY

The Aviator ceiling fan Drive Motor comes with a two year(02)warranty, the warranty will not cover for damages against Lightening strikes, Power overloads and surges, Incorrect Installation, Improper Use, Water Seepage / Dampness / Corrosion. The Aviator Drive Motor will be replaced free of charge if it fails due to any normal circumstances like bearings failure, defective magnets or coil problems the drive motor will be repaired or replaced free of charge within the two year warranty period.

WARRANTY ON WINGS

All solid timber and ABS wings comes with a one (01) year warranty, the warranty will cover damages under normal usage, where the wings has got discolored, cracks appearing or wings getting warped. other than these three conditions, the wings will not be covered for improper usage, incorrect handling, foreign objects being used to clean the wings, chemicals being used on the wings, incorrect cleaning procedures, and any other hazardous conditions which could cause damage to the fan wings.

NO WARRANTY ON REMOTE CONTROLLERS / RF ELECTRONIC TRANSMITTER & LIGHT KITS

The Aviator Classic Fans Co. does not offer a Warranty on the Remote Controller / RF Electronic Transmitter and Fan Light Kits. Our warranty excludes the mentioned accessories such as the Remote Control Unit , Electronic Transmitter and Light Kits. However if there is a manufacturing defect the respective unit will be either repaired of replaced free of charge. Provided that a complaint is lodged within seven (07) days of purchasing the fan, the Aviator company will make arrangements to replace any defective unit with a brand new unit if it is a manufacturing defect. During this period, the authorized product distributor in the state, province or territory of the particular country where the product was purchased will, at its discretion, repair or replace products considered to be defective due to a manufacturing defect (material or workmanship.                                                     

ACCESSORIES

Remote Control Receiver and Transmitters (Handsets), Light Kits (integrated or externally mounted) and Wall Controls are not covered by the warranty.                                                                 

REPAIRED OR REPLACED PRODUCTS

Any replaced or repaired product is covered only by the balance of the warranty remaining on the original article.                                                                   

TRANSFER OF WARRANTY

If the premises where the ceiling fan or remote control is installed changes hands, the balance of the warranty passes to the new owner, provided that the original bill of sale for the product is retained by the new owner     

APPLICABLE CALL UP CHARGES

Please note that if you have a defective fan, you should get the fan removed by a trained technician, pack it well,  and send it to the Aviator Distributor/ Agent /Store/ Showroom from where the fan was purchased along with the original purchase receipt. 

If you are unable to remove and send the fan to the Aviator Showroom, and would like to have a service personal call over to your premises and check out the fan, then there will be a call up charge and technical service charge that you will have to pay directly to the relevant technician for his travelling and service fee. These charges could be obtained in advance from the relevant technical personnel.   

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Any Aviator Classic fan that has been purchased could be returned within seven (7) days from date of original purchase and should be returned in its original unpacked and unused condition together with the original receipt. However Aviator Classic Fans Co. will not do any payment refunds, but re-sell the product and then refund you.  We have a company policy that once a product is sold we can not refund the payment, but we can re-sell the product within a set time period and refund your payment. However if the refund is due to a defect / damaged fan/ product does not conform to the original order / delayed order, in these exceptional cases payment will be refunded in full within 3 working days.             

TERMS & CONDITIONS

• The warranty on your Aviator Classic Fans purchased is provided on the following terms and conditions;

• You should consult the authorized product distributor in the country where the product was purchased by telephone or email prior to making any arrangements to service or remove the product. Reimbursements for labor or product delivery costs will not be met without prior approval.

• Labor costs and product delivery costs relating directly to a warranty claim will not be be met by the authorized product distributor in the country where the product was purchased during this period, however it is the responsibility of the owner to arrange for a licensed / trained electrician to complete any necessary labor.

• The cost of obtaining or using any required special access equipment (scissor lifts, scaffolding, long ladders, etc.) to install or remove the ceiling fan is specifically excluded, and it is the responsibility of the owner to provide such equipment and have it safely installed and operated.

• The warranty for the fan does not cover damage to the fan if it is moved from one dwelling to another during the warranty period. The warranty is voided in total if the product is sold as second hand goods.

• Aviator Classic Fans if not purchased from an Authorized distributor in any country are not eligible for warranty repair or replacements. An Aviator Classic fan purchased from any authorized distributors in any country should have the original Aviator Warranty Card. Fans sold through third party unauthorized distributors/agents will not be the responsibility of the Aviator Classic Fans Co.

• Fans not installed by a trained /licensed electrician are not eligible for warranty repair.

• Any damage incurred to the product after delivery to the owner, that is not caused by a fault in the products’ materials or workmanship; damage from lightning or power surges; damage to the fan due to incorrect installation; damage to the premises due to incorrect installation; noise or other influence of ripple control or information access systems operation over power delivery infrastructure; water damage of any kind; installation or use outdoors; damage arising from connection to or use with alternative power systems (e.g. inverters, solar, etc.) are not eligible for warranty repair.

• Ceiling fans used incorrectly, accidentally damaged, modified in any way or not serviced in accordance with the maintenance instructions are not eligible for warranty repair.

• Subject to any statutory provisions to the contrary, any claims for damage to furniture, carpet, walls, ceilings, foundations or any other consequential loss either directly or indirectly resulting from a fault ceiling fan will not be met under this warranty.

• The authorized product distributor in the particular country where the product was purchased reserves the right to charge a service call fee where; there is nothing wrong with the ceiling fan or; the defective operation of the ceiling fan is due to failure of electricity or; the installation is not in accordance with installation instructions and/or applicable local regulations or; the defects have been cause by incorrect application or abuse of the ceiling fan or the damage has been caused by unauthorized persons attempting to repair the fan.                             

REGULAR MAINTENANCE CHECK

The Aviator Classic Fans Co. strongly recommends that any fan that has been purchased and installed, should be checked by the owner or his/her technician regularly to ensure that the screws of the fan blades are always properly fastened, and all other hanging / suspension parts are bracketed properly and in accordance to the safety standards. This safety check should be carried out as often as possible, in order to avoid injuries and damages to property.
